Uprating or Changing Existing Service
Account number of the service you wish to change or uprate
Are the changes you want to make or the uprate you need to do
Before the meter?
Beyond the meter?
Note -- If any changes or uprates need to be done beyond the meter, please contact an electrician as CPPD's service responsibility "stops at the meter."
If you need a service uprate, we'll need to know
Size of service now (if known)
Size of service needed
Are you adding any load?
If so, what (i.e. heat pump, house addition, additional grain bins, etc.)
Are you making any changes to your operation?
If so, what?
Are you planning to move the meter back to the transformer pole to eliminate the overhead triplex in the yard? CPPD encourages installing the meter on the transformer pole on any uprates when possible.
Meter already on transformer pole
In towns, the uprated meter loop will be placed on the pole in the alley or next to the street.
Are you looking for a cost estimate only for now?
Do you want to be put on our confirmed project list?
How soon do you need it?
(Note: There may be times when our construction schedule may be planned several months in advance.)
Have you contacted an electrician?
If so, name and number of electrician.
We ask that the electrician has everything cut over to the new uprated service within 90 days after we have completed the project.
